WHAT TO EXPECT
Thinking of visiting Redemption Bible Church?
At Redemption Bible Church, we believe that corporate worship is not optional for the Christian, yet it is not so much a duty, as a delight. We place a high priority on the expository preaching of the God’s Word. Sermons are generally an hour in length, and our pastor teaches through books of the Bible in a verse-by-verse style, with the aim of teaching sound doctrine that will affect all of life. Because of this, other aspects of our corporate worship are centered around the focal point of the preaching. The Scripture read in the call to worship and the songs that are sung are chosen because their themes relate to the sermon. We sing hymns old and new and we use The Hymns of Grace Hymnbook. We desire to incorporate all who are present into the worship of our God, so our worship leaders do not perform but rather lead the congregation into worship. Before the sermon, we have a pastoral prayer and following the sermon, we observe The Lord’s Supper every Lord’s Day. Our services end with the singing of the doxology and a benediction from the Word.
Children are welcomed in our services, as we believe it is important for families to worship together and for parents to train their children in the joy of true worship to God. We do not have a nursery or children’s church. Of course, if/when things get a bit out of sorts with the little ones, we do have a “cry room” equipped with a speaker for moms or dads who need to step out for a moment.
We begin at 11:30AM promptly and end around 1:15 PM and you’ll always find hot coffee and warm fellowship before and after our services. On the first Sunday of each month, we enjoy a potluck together in the fellowship hall following our service and we’d love to have you join us!
