Scotty Wharton

Pastor

Scotty was born and raised in Battle Ground, WA. He earned his B.A. in Biblical Theology at Moody Bible Institute. For thirty-four years, he lived and worked as an evangelist and church planting missionary in the Middle East until the Lord directed him back to Battle Ground in 2021. He was called as the pastor of Redemption Bible Church in March of 2022. His passion is to “equip the saints for the work of the ministry” through the exegetical preaching of the Word of God. He desires to see revival in this area of Southwest Washington and to see the church of Christ established throughout the nations. He and his wife Emily have six children and six grandchildren and reside in the Battle Ground area.

Kris McKenzie

Elder

Kris McKenzie was born and raised on a dairy farm in Vancouver, Washington. He was converted in 1978 and married his pastor’s daughter in 1991. He and his wife Becky reside in Battle Ground and have six children and two grandchildren. His deep desire for Redemption Bible Church is that she be a “city on a hill” in Battle Ground, and that many souls would come to Christ through evangelism and the preaching of the Word. Kris loves baseball and spending time outdoors.

Eric Fletcher

Deacon

Eric Fletcher was born and raised in the Bay Area, CA. He was walking carnally, while being in and out of church since 2002. He met his beautiful wife Nitoshia in 2011. He is the father of two lovely girls. The Lord cut his heart in 2020, when he was truly regenerated. The Lord brought the Fletchers to Redemption Bible Church in 2025. He has a passion for encouraging the brethren in their walk with the Lord and urging the lost to put their trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Eric enjoys working on his bench press and eating his wife's most excellent cooking.

Brian Swihart

Deacon

Brian Swihart was born and raised in the Portland, Oregon area. He was saved in 2017 while attending music school on the East Coast. After returning to the Pacific Northwest, he began working in the trades and later married his wife, Maddie. Brian and Maddie live in Vancouver, Washington with their three boys. Brian’s prayer for Redemption Bible Church is that the church would glorify God and that His people would be conformed to the image of Christ. He leads the music and congregational singing at the church. In his spare time, he enjoys baking sourdough, working on home projects, and spending time outdoors.
